Our story
When this special location on the corner of the Utrechtsestraat and the Herengracht became available we didn't have to think twice. This was where we would create a meeting point for locals, expats and tourists, both straight and gay, where they would all feel at home together. Now, a couple of years have passed and we're happy to see that this vision came true. At Brug34 everyone feels welcome for a coffee, while reading a newspaper, or a glass of wine paired with a delicious snack. This success is partly thanks to the pioneering work that has been done in earlier years by a gay café that was located in the same building and aptly named ’t Trefpunt (the Meeting Point). We are proud to be continuing this tradition and to be accessible for a wide array of guests at every time of the day and on every day of the year!
